Under the general supervision of the Piedmont Health SeniorCare Associate Director, this position oversees the services provided in the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) center in Pittsboro, NC, including operations and programs of the center, communication and coordination by the interdisciplinary team, transportation, and supervision of managers and, as needed, other staff. The position is responsible for coordination and compliance with Federal regulations for a PACE provider and applicable State guidelines (e.g. Adult Day Health Center). It also serves on the Piedmont Health SeniorCare leadership team.
Education: College degree required, masters preferred. Bachelors of Science in Nursing, healthcare administration or health related discipline preferred.
Experience: At least 3 years supervisory or administrative experience in health care. Prefer experience in home care or long term care setting, and ideally, PACE experience. Must meet the requirements set forth in the Adult Day Health Center (ADHC) regulations for ADHC Program Director. Must have had significant financial management experience; significant supervisory experience, with management of a large staff and a variety of positions.
Licensure, Registry or Certification Required: Valid NC driver's license.
PATIENT POPULATION SERVED: Adult Geriatric
Strong interpersonal, organizational, group facilitation and consensus-building skills. Must possess the skills necessary to provide care for geriatric patients and must have proven clinical leadership and management skills. Must possess the ability to learn, teach and research, as well as to solve problems and think analytically/critically. Strong oral and written communication skills are desired. Must have the ability to get along in a team environment and to effectively handle difficult and unusual interpersonal situations.
Individual must meet a standardized set of competencies for the specific position description established by Piedmont Health SeniorCare and approved by CMS before working independently, and must only act within the scope of his or her authority to practice.
IMMUNIZATIONS: Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up-to-date before engaging in direct participant contact
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Hearing: Adequate to perform job duties in person and over the telephone.
Speaking: Must be able to communicate clearly to medical providers, patients and multiple personnel in person and over the telephone.
Vision: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens. Must meet certification by colorblind standards.
Other: Will be working with potentially hazardous chemicals, exposure to patient body fluids.
Requires frequent lifting and carrying items weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted.
Requires frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting and sitting, with some heavy lifting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular work shift. Requires exposure to communicable diseases and/or bodily fluids.
