The primary responsibility of the Administrative Coordinator is to provide administrative support, quality data tracking and management, and other systems support as needed for the Day Health Center, medical clinic, transportation services and program administration.
Education/Experience: Associate's degree preferred with 1-2 years administrative experience, or High School Diploma with 3 years as an administrative assistant. Experience in healthcare field. Knowledge of medical records, medical terminology, medical transcription, word processing and data entry experience preferred. One year of experience with the frail or elderly preferred.
Experience in all aspects of office management, data management and analysis
• Ability to coordinate, plan and implement assigned projects
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge and skill in word processing software
• Must maintain confidential information and be able to give attention to details and work independently using good judgment
• Problem solving skills
Type of Employees Supervised: None.
Licensure, Registry or Certification Required: Valid NC driver's license.
Immunizations: Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up-to-date prior to beginning employment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
Hearing: Adequate to perform job duties in person and over the telephone.
Speaking: Must be able to communicate clearly to medical providers, patients and multiple personnel in person and over the telephone.
Vision: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens. Must meet certification by colorblind standards.
Other: Will be working with potentially hazardous chemicals, exposure to patient body fluids.
Requires frequent lifting and carrying items weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted.
Requires frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting and sitting, with some heavy lifting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular work shift. Requires exposure to communicable diseases and/or bodily fluids.
