SITE DIRECTOR (PACE) 

 

JOB SUMMARY

Under the general supervision of the Piedmont Health SeniorCare Associate Director, this position oversees the services provided in the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) center, including operations and programs of the center, communication and coordination by the interdisciplinary team, transportation, and supervision of managers and, as needed, other staff. The position is responsible for coordination and compliance with Federal regulations for a PACE provider and applicable State guidelines (e.g. Adult Day Health Center).  It also serves on the Piedmont Health SeniorCare leadership team.

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required, masters preferred. Bachelor's degree in Nursing, healthcare administration or health-related discipline required. 
  • Experience: At least 3 years supervisory and administrative experience in health care.  Must meet the requirements set forth in the Adult Day Health Center (ADHC) regulations for ADHC Program Director.
  • Licensure, Registry or Certification Required: Valid NC driver's license.
  • Special Training:
    • o Strong interpersonal, organizational, group facilitation and consensus-building skills. Must possess the skills necessary to provide care for geriatric patients and must have proven leadership and management skills.  Must possess the ability to learn, teach and research, as well as to solve problems and think analytically/critically. Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
    • o Must have the ability to lead a diverse team, including effectively mediating conflict, facilitating team problem-solving, and ensuring open and inclusive communication among team members.  .
    • o Individual must meet a standardized set of competencies for the specific position description established by Piedmont Health SeniorCare and approved by CMS before working independently, and must only act within the scope of his or her authority to practice.

 

Immunizations:  Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up-to-date before engaging in direct participant contact

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORKING CONDITIONS

Hearing: Adequate to perform job duties in person and over the telephone.

 

Speaking: Must be able to communicate clearly and respectfully to all stakeholders. .

 

Vision: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens. Must meet certification by colorblind standards.

 

Other: Will be working with potentially hazardous chemicals, exposure to patient body fluids.

Requires frequent lifting and carrying items weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted.

  Requires frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting and sitting, with some heavy lifting, pushing and       pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular work shift. Requires exposure to communicable diseases and/or bodily fluids.
