WIC ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT AND BREASTFEEDING PEER COUNSELOR
PROSPECT HILL COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER LOCATIONS
BILINGUAL (ENGLISH/SPANISH SPEAKING) REQUIRED
Makes income eligibility determination for applicants for the WIC program. Determines continuing eligibility for issuance of food benefits. Provides client education regarding eWIC usage and the certification process. Makes client referrals for a variety of services, internally and externally. Prepares, maintains and updates EHR records for WIC Program participants. Coordinate clinic flow and take anthropometric measurements per WIC guidelines. Provides in clinic breastfeeding support in the form of issuing breast pumps, classes, one-on-one contacts and phone calls to both prenatal and postpartum women.
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Current/valid License: N/A
Experience: Must have a minimum of 6 consecutive weeks of personal breastfeeding experience & English/Spanish bilingual skills required.

Ethnically and racially diverse population of pregnant, breastfeeding, postpartum women, infants and young children and all family members involved.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
Requires frequent sitting for long periods, operation of standard office machines and computer. May require lifting of up to 25 pounds. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Requires use of office equipment, such as computer terminals, telephones or copiers. Requires normal vision range. Work is performed in an office environment. Contact with staff and external clients and vendors.
